Crank Engine With Starter

NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.

1. Switch off ignition
- Key in ignition/starter (8) in position O.
2. Connect compression pressure recorder as follows:





a. Open cover (1) of cable connector (X12/3) at left wheel house.
b. Connect clamp of compression pressure recorder (A) to the connector (X12/3).





c. Unplug engine compartment/engine connector (X22/2) terminal 50 in right of component compartments.
d. Models built up to about 3, 1997, connect adapter cable (01) with connector (X22/2)
e. On all models, unplug coupling.





f. Models built after about 3, 1997, connect adapter cable (09) with coupling (arrow)
g. On all models, connect adapter cable (01) to cable of compression pressure recorder.

WARNING:
^ Risk of accident from vehicle moving off on its own when engine running.
^ Secure car to prevent it moving of on its own.
^ Risk of injury from contusions and burns if hand inserted into engine furing starting or when engine running.
^ Wear appropriate workclothes when performing work on the vehicle.

3. Crank engine

NOTE: Do not crank engine at ignition/starter switch (8)

4. Install in the reverse order
