Model 129

1. Remove carpeting from center console.

2. Cut and remove all styrofoam from underside of carpeting. Remove material from lip around the underside of carpeting so reinforcing plate can lie flat.

3. Place reinforcing plate on back of carpeting (Figure 4).

4. Locate, punch and drill four inner holes to 5 mm.

5. Insert four screws through reinforcing plate and carpeting. Mount charger-holder on carpeting and tighten screws.

6. Drill outer holes through carpeting to match the diameter of the mounting plate holes.

7. Remove two forward screws in center console compartment.

8. Place angular bracket in console with raised edge of bracket pointing towards the rear of the compartment (Figure 5). Secure bracket using the two removed screws.

9. Locate two harnesses at rear of compartment. A coaxial antenna connector is taped to a 12-pole data cable labeled PORTABLE PHONE. The other 12-pole data cable is not labeled.

10. Connect antenna adapter cable (arrow, Figure 7) between antenna harness and pigtail on back of charger-holder. Connect harness labeled PORTABLE PHONE to charger-holder.

11. Replace carpeting and charger-holder into center console compartment, routing the harness along right side of compartment. Secure carpeting with two screws (arrows, Figure 8) to angle bracket in compartment.

Model 140

1. Remove carpeting from right side of console.

2. Locate two harnesses on right side of console:

^ a 12-pole male and a female coax connector taped together (labeled Portable Phone),

^ a 12-pole female and a male coax connector (from armrest).

3. Connect male and female coax connectors together. Disconnect 12-pole female connector (from armrest). Remove protective cover from 12-pole male connector (Portable Phone) (transfer cover to open male connector). Connect 12-pole female to 12-pole male (Portable Phone) connector.

4. Remove and discard cupholder assembly.

5. Route antenna cable in grooves on back of charger-holder.

6. Connect short 12-pole/8-pole harness to charger-holder.

7. Locate antenna connection cable in front of armrest tray (arrow, Figure 9).

8. Connect antenna connection cable to charger-holder.

9. Slide charger-holder into position in armrest tray.

10. Secure charger-holder to tray; rear fastening point uses existing hole from cupholder assembly, front fastening point requires slight pressure to secure self-tapping screw.

11. Insert foam filler piece into front fastening hole, install caps with white stripe facing down.

12. Remove protective cover from fixed connector in back of armrest tray. Connect pigtail connector from charger-holder straight into fixed connector.

13. Stretch coil cord forward, place clip over second rung of cord (keep tension on cord).

14. Slide short end of clip under charger-holder (Figure 10). Start screw into trim piece hole. While holding clip in position, place trim piece over harness connector and secure with screw (ensure that coil cord goes under recess on trim piece, and screw passes through fastening hole on trim piece and on clip below).

15. Open protective covering on handset and connect coil cord. Slide handset into charger-holder until it audibly clicks into place.
