F. GPS Antenna - Model 140

1. Place antenna 150 mm (6 in.) right of the center high-mounted brake light on the slope in the back of the hat shelf.





a. In vehicles without rear window sun shade put the GPS antenna on the ground plane (see figure 9a for orientation) and wedge between the window the and hat shelf below the defrost wires.





b. In vehicles with rear window sun shade the ground plane is not needed. Position antenna on rear edge of the hat shelf (see figure 9b) below the rear window defrost wires.

2. Run cable between window and hat shelf down to trunk through hole approximately 25 mm (1 in.) to the right of the brake light. Put felt around edges of metal hole to protect GPS wire.

3. Secure GPS antenna on hat shelf with double sided tape supplied or if using the ground plane the adhesive strip on the back of the ground plane.

4. Tie down any GPS antenna cable as necessary.

Note:
DO NOT tightly roll and/or kink any excess wire, this will interfere with satellite reception.
