Radio/Infrared Remote Control For Central Locking (RFL/RCL)
The radio frequency/infrared remote central locking (RFL/RCL) has been enlarged compared to the infrared remote central locking (RCL) by a radio frequency operating unit and reduced to 21R exterior receivers (models 129/140). The radio frequency signal permits a greater range of operation of the remote control.
When the radio frequency/remote control transmitter key is operated, only a radio frequency signal is transmitted. If the DAS radio frequency control module recognizes the radio frequency signal as valid, it actuates the pneumatic system equipment (PSE) through the multifunction control module. The vehicle is locked or unlocked through the central locking system.
"KEY-IN" interrogation:
If the transmitter key remains in the ignition/starter switch (S2/1) in position "0" or "1" after "Ignition 0FF", the radio frequency/infrared remote control is not operational for a time of T <= 30 min.
