General Function of Heated Seats

General
The heated seats have two heating stages.

Heating stage I "normal heating" and heating stage II "fast heat-up".

The heated seat switches are designed as push-button and return automatically to the original position after they are pressed. The two LED's in the switch indicate that the heated seats are switched on.

The switches for the front heated seats and the control module are consolidated into one block.

The switches for the rear heated seats and the control module are separated.

The heated seat control module controls the various electrical power consumption stages for the heated seats in heating stages I and II and the heating time for the heated seats.

After approx. 5 min. the control switches over automatically from heating stage II to heating stage I and switches off completely after approx. 30 ± 5 min. When the battery voltage is <= 11 V the heated seats are switched off automatically or switch-on is prevented. The LED's in the heated seat switch flash.

The heating strips or heating elements are inserted loose into the seat covers or sewed in and connected with a lead to the heated seat control module depending on the vehicle model and equipment.
