Recognizing selector lever positions P and N or Drive position.

DESIGN/FUNCTION
The ETC control module recognizes the selector lever positions P and N by means of a contact in the transmission, the selector lever position by the gear recognition switch and also kickdown from the kickdown switch. All the information is supplied to the engine control module through the CAN data bus.
