Position of Center Assembly (Differential) In Axle Suspension

NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.

Using the test fixture tool No. 210 589 02 43 00 (01), or equivalent, of the removal and installation tool (09, 015), check and correct installed position of center assembly in rear axle carrier (1).

- Mount test fixture (01) with the spacers part 09 and thrust pieces part 15 on both sides with the existing threaded spindles and nuts and tighten slightly (09, 01 5).
- Pull in both rubber mounts (62) evenly into the rear axle carrier until the pin (arrow) of the test fixture (01) is located centrally in the bore of the cross member
