Interrupting Soft Top Motion, Function

The soft top opening or closing operation can be interrupted immediately (stop function) if:
- The power soft top switch (S84) is released (stop function)
- The trunk lid is opened (only during "open soft top" operation)
- The vehicle speed is greater than 0 km/h and less than 30 km/h.

As long as the stop function is active the hydraulic cylinders remain actuated so that they hold the soft top in the corresponding position.

The motor (A7/5m1) for the rollbar/soft top operation hydraulic unit (A7/5) is switched off.

If the soft top stop function is activated and:
- The vehicle moves at a speed faster than 30 km/h, actuation of the hydraulic cylinders is discontinued so that none of the soft top components can be damaged as a result of the high air resistance forces.
- The stop mode exceeds a period of 7 min., actuation of the hydraulic cylinders is also terminated so that the soft top hydraulic mechanism cannot be damaged.
