Subsequently Locking Soft Top, Function

If the soft top is not completely locked at the end of a soft top actuation. The "subsequent locking" feature can be activated.


NOTE: Subsequently locking the soft top is also possible while driving.


For this purpose press the power soft top switch (S84) in the direction "open soft top" if the soft top is open , or in the direction "close soft top" if the soft top is closed.

During the subsequent locking operation the rollbar/soft top operation control module (N52) actuates the following components after the power soft top switch (S84) is pressed:
- If the rollbar is completely retracted:
The motor (A7/5m1) for the hydraulic unit and the rod-side valve (Y57y10) are actuated.
Effect:
The soft top compartment cover and soft top bow are locked hydraulically. Actuation duration: 5 s.
- If the rollbar is not completely retracted:
The motor (A7/5m1) for the hydraulic unit, the rod-side valve (Y57y10) and piston-side valve (Y57y11) for the rollbar (RB) valve block (Y57) are actuated.
Effects:
The soft top compartment cover and soft top bow are locked hydraulically, the rollbar is again actuated In the direction "extend". Actuation duration: 5 s.
