AR77.31-P-1003KA Remove/Install Soft Top Insulation







1 Remove soft top cover
2 Remove clamping channel (1) from front soft top frame headliner (2) and detach glued joint (3)

NOTE: Installation: Reglue If required

3 Unscrew screws of end pieces from roof bows (4)

NOTE: Pull out end pieces and tensioning belt on side

4 Pull tensioning belt out of insulation (5)
5 Loosen side glued joint from soft top frame

NOTE: Installation: Replace double-sided adhesive tape

6 Pull electrical lead for heated rear window out of insulation (5)

NOTE: Installation: Observe marking on electrical lead for heated rear window

7 Remove end pieces from rear roof bow

NOTE: First unscrew screws

8 Remove rear upholstery belt (3) from soft top bow (14)

NOTE: Unscrew screws and pull upholstery belt from bow at side

9 Pull insulation (5) to side out of roof bow

CAUTION: Installation: When pulling in avoid damaging weather strip.

NOTE: Installation: Countersink bow channel at ends with countersink

10 Install in the reverse order
