Convenience Actuation With Remote Control Key, Function

- Circuit 15_off and circuit 15R_off
- All doors closed.

Function
Pressing the "lock vehicle" button on the remote control key actuates the corresponding central locking functions. Moreover, if the button is held down for longer than 5 seconds the remote control key sends an infrared (IR) signal for convenience closing. This signal is received by an IR receiver. If the function prerequisites are fulfilled, the corresponding door control module relays the command for convenience closing on the CAN bus. This command is transmitted as long as the signal is received from the remote control key. The door control modules perform the power window convenience closing function.

When the "unlock vehicle" button is pressed the corresponding convenience opening functions are performed.
