Function of Closing Power Windows With Convenience Feature

Function prerequisites
- Voltage not too low or too high and
- circuit 15 off and
- circuit 15R off and
- circuit 15C off.

The power window convenience closing feature is possible with the aid of the remote control key (infrared remote control) or the lock switches. All side windows are rolled up together with the convenience closing feature.

Convenience closing feature for front windows
Each door control module (N69/1) or (N69/2) receives the convenience closing request via the CAN bus and then actuates the power window motor (M10/3) or (M10/4). The motor continues to be actuated until the door control module position recognition recognizes that the window is completely closed. When operated with the remote control key or lock switch ((USA), (-)) the power window convenience closing feature is also accomplished even if the windows have not been synchronized.

Rear power window convenience closing feature
The rollbar/soft top operation control module (N52) receives the convenience closing request via the CAN bus and then actuates the power window motors (M10/5) and (M10/6) directly. The motors are actuated until the N52 position recognition feature recognizes that the window is completely closed.

Termination of convenience closing feature
The convenience closing feature for the power windows is terminated when:
- The request via the CAN bus is longer received or
- it is recognized that the power window is locked up or
- the function prerequisites specified above are no longer fulfilled.
