Function of Opening Power Windows With Convenience Feature

Function prerequisites
- Voltage not too low or too high and
- circuit 15 off and
- circuit 15R off and
- circuit 15C off.

The power window convenience opening feature is possible with the aid of the remote control key (infrared remote control) or the lock switches. All side windows are rolled down together with the convenience opening feature.

Convenience opening feature for front windows
Each door control module (N69/1) or (N69/2) receives the convenience opening request via the CAN bus and then actuates the power window motor (M10/3) or (M10/4). The motor continues to be actuated until the door control module position recognition recognizes that the window is completely open. The power window convenience opening feature is also performed even when the windows have not been synchronized.

Rear power window convenience opening feature
The rollbar/soft top operation control module (N52) receives the convenience opening request via the CAN bus and then actuates the power window motors (M10/5) and (M10/6) directly. The motors are actuated until the N52 position recognition feature recognizes that the window is completely open.

Termination of convenience opening feature
The convenience opening feature for the power windows is terminated when:
- The request via the CAN out is longer received or
- it is recognized that the power window is locked up or
- the function prerequisites specified above are no longer fulfilled.
