Cooling System Drain and Refill

DRAINING SYSTEM

WARNING:
^ Risk of scalding as a result of hot coolant spraying out
^ Open cap of expansion reservoir or radiator (2)
^ Do not open the cap of the expansion reservoir or radiator unless the coolant temperature is below 90°C.
^ Carefully turn cap to the first detent or slowly about 1/2 turn.
^ Wear protective clothing.

1. Turn 2 stage cap half a turn anti-clockwise to release pressure, then unscrew cap (2).
2. Drain coolant at radiator and crankcase
3. Collect coolant in a suitable container.

FILLING SYSTEM
1. Refer to notes re coolant.
2. Tighten drain plugs at radiator and the crankcase
3. Fill system with coolant with 7.5 liters of suitable coolant.
Note coolant level, refer to Correct Cooling System Level.
4. Bleed Cooling system, refer to Bleed Cooling System (Models Without Auxiliary Heater)
5. Check cooling system for leaks, refer to Test System For Leaks. Testing and Inspection
