IFI Deceleration Mode Task/Design/Function

Design

Task
Reducing the quantity injected to zero in the deceleration mode (zero delivery).

Function
The IFI control module (N3/7) receives an input signal from the IFI/DFI crankshaft position sensor (L5/6) and the IFI/DFI accelerator pedal position sensor (R25/2) and supplies an output signal to the IFI fuel metering control (Y23/1). In the deceleration mode and when the accelerator is not depressed and also at an engine speed of > 1500 rpm, the fuel rack travel is regulated to < 1 mm by the IFI fuel metering control (Y23/1). As a result, the quantity injected is reduced to zero.
