Start-Off Injection Quantity Control - Electronic IFI

Design

Task
Controlling the start quantity in line with the operating state of the engine, irrespective of the position of the accelerator pedal.

Function
The crankshaft position and engine speed are detected by the IFI/DFI crankshaft position sensor (L5/6) and transmitted to the IFI control module (N3/7). In addition a signal for processing the required start quantity is passed through the coolant temperature sensor (B11) to the IFI control module (N3/7), and this signal is passed onto the fuel metering control (Y23/1), with the feedback from the fuel rack position sensor (Y23/1I1).

After the engine has started and is running at a speed of > 600 rpm, the start quantity control is deactivated.
The start quantity is controlled by the start quantity control up to an engine speed of 600 rpm, irrespective of the position of the accelerator pedal.
Engine speed is only controlled from the accelerator pedal after an engine speed of > 600 rpm has been exceeded (depending on coolant temperature).
The higher the coolant temperature, the smaller is the start quantity released by the IFI control module (N3/7).
