Side Impact

Sidebags are triggered as soon as the relevant sensor below the left or right front seat recognizes a side collision. The sensor first initiates a plausibility check in the control module for the emergency tensioning retractor with airbag (N2/2 or N2/7), after which the control module outputs the signal for sidebag actuation.
