Power Window Switches In Center Console, Function

Power Window Switches In Center Console:

Function of switches
The five mechanical positions of the switches are read in by the lower control panel control module (N72).

Center position neutral
First catch down Manual window down
First catch up Manual window up
Second catch down One-touch window down
Second catch up One-touch window up

As long as the function prerequisites
- Voltage not too low or too high
- Circuit 15 on or circuit 15R on
are fulfilled the lower control panel control module (N72) transmits a CAN message to the affected door control module indicating the switch position. The CAN message can be transmitted for a maximum for 25 sec. when the switch is actuated continuously. If the window has not been synchronized the lower control panel control module (N72) receives a corresponding CAN message. It then transmits the switch position "manual window up" when the switch is moved to the "one-touch window up" position.

Function of slide safety switch (models 202/210 only)
The position of the switch is read in by the lower control panel control module (N72).

As long as the function prerequisites
- Voltage not too low or too high
- Circuit 15 on or circuit 15R on
are fulfilled and the switch is in the "ON" position the lower control panel control module (N72) sends a CAN message with the switch position.
