INSTALLATION OF CD CHANGER

Warning:
Disconnect and cover negative battery terminal.

1. Remove shipping screws (3, Figure 1) from CD changer and store the removed screws in the holes provided at the rear of the unit; cover screw holes with supplied dust covers (adhesive black dots).

2. Make sure the orientation adjustments on both sides of CD changer are set to vertical (V). Secure with adhesive covers.

3. Remove trunk floor mat.

4. Locate 3-pole connector and fiber optic (D2B) cables in right wheel well.

5. Connect fiber optic (D2B) cables and the 3-pole connector to CD changer before attaching the bracket. Secure fiber optic cables in clips on the bottom of the CD changer.

Note:
Refer to notes and diagrams in the Service Information for correct fiber optics connections.

6. Attach CD changer to CD mounting bracket using four screws.

7. Install cover. Engage plastic hinges over flange on top edge of bracket, then roll hinges toward back to lock.

8. Position CD changer unit into right wheel well so that the pin on the bottom of the mounting bracket fits into the pre-drilled mounting opening located on the side member behind battery (arrow, Figure 3).

9. Continue to position the CD changer unit so that the tabs on mounting bracket align over pre-drilled factory mounting locations.

10. Secure top mounts with screws.

11. Install CD magazine into CD changer unit.

12. Reinstall trunk floor mat.

13. Test function. Verify correct version coding and system configuration using HHT.
