The activated charcoal canister shutoff valve (Y58/4) is actuated at the ground end by the ME control unit to conduct the leak test of the fuel system. In case of errors in the shutoff valve (valve does not open) a mechanical safety valve (as of approx. 25 mbar) takes over the aeration of the activated charcoal canister (77).
