NAM Programming

When programming a telephone for the first time, use the factory preset codes, otherwise use customer codes.

Preparation

1. Press PWR

2. Enter Unlock Code (factory preset 1-2-3)

3. Press FCN, 0, Enter Security Code (factory preset at 0-0-0-0-0-0) twice, Press RCL O, should appear in the display, if not, retry from step 1

To enter first NAM

1. Press *, Enter System ID Number, Press *

2. Press *, Enter Area Code, Press *

3. Press *, Enter Phone Number, Press *

4. Press *, Enter 0-8 for mobile phone, Enter 1-0 for portable phone, Press *

5. Press *, Enter Overload Class, Press *

6. Press *, Enter ID Mark, Press *

7. Press *, Enter new Security Code, Press *

8. Press *, Enter new Unlock Code, Press *

9. Press *, Enter Paging Channel, Press *

10. Press *, Enter Option Programming, Press *

11. Press *, Enter Option Programming, Press *

To enter second NAM

1. Press *, Enter second System ID Number, Press *

2. Press *, Enter second Area Code, Press *

3. Press *, Enter second Phone Number, Press *

4. Press *, Enter 0-8 for mobile phone, Enter 1-0 for portable phone, Press *

5. Press *, Enter Overload Class, Press *

6. Press *, Enter ID Mark, Press *

9. Press *, Enter Paging Channel, Press *

10. Press , Enter Option Programming, Press *

Steps 7, 8 and 11 are not required for second NAM programming, the data is defaulted from First NAM programming.

To review the NAM programming and ensure that the proper numbers were entered, repeatedly press , make changes as necessary.

To reprogram without initializing the Three-times programming counter, press CLEAR and reprogram.

To store the programming information a two-digit step number 01-11 must appear on the display. Press * until any step number appears, then press SEND. The cellular telephone is now ready for use.

Note: If the cellular telephone is programmed outside of the customers Home service area, the first outgoing call placed from the cellular telephone should be made when the customer arrives in the Home service area. Failure to do so may cause the customer to be placed in the carriers "Denied service" category.
