Function of Remote Trunk Release (RTR)

Component Identification:

The remote trunk release feature (RTR) includes the following functions:
- Opening trunk lid with remote control key
- Opening trunk lid with remote trunk release switch (N72s15) in center console
- Manually opening trunk lid by pressing lock cylinder in trunk lid lock.

Whether it is possible to open the trunk lid with the individual functions depends on the status of the central locking system.
Regardless of this the trunk lid can always be locked and unlocked with the mechanical key.
