Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.

Function

General
The heated seats have two heating stages:
- Heating stage "1" - normal heating operation
- Heating stage "2" - quick heat-up

The heated seat switches are designed as push-button which return automatically to the original position after pressing. Two LED's in the switch indicate the switching state of the heated seat.

The switches and control module for the front heated seats are consolidated into a block with other switches to form a switch group.

The switches and control module for the rear heated seats are located separately.

The heated seat control module controls the differing electrical power consumption of the heated seats in the heating stages and the heating time.

The heated seats are switched over from heating stage "2" to heating stage "1" automatically after 5 min and switched off completely after approx. 30 min.

At a battery voltage of <= 11 V, the heated seats are switched off automatically and are prevented from being switched back on. This is indicated by the LED in the heated seat switch flashing.

The heater strips and heater elements are inserted loosely into the seat covers or sawn in depending on the vehicle model and equipment and are connected to the heated seat control module by a lead.
