Storing Seat Position
Model 210 (except 210.081/281) as of March 1, 1997 with CODE (275a) Memory package (driver's seat, steering column, rearview mirrors.)
Model 208 with CODE (275b) Memory package (driver's seat, rearview mirrors.)
Definition
The positions of the front seats and steering column (model 210 only) can be stored in three memory locations. The seat position is stored in the driver-side ESA control module (with memory) (N32/1) or in the passenger-side ESA control module (with memory) (N32/2). When the seat position for the driver's seat is stored the positions of the outside rearview mirrors are also stored in the door control modules.
Storing driver's seat position
To store the momentary position of the driver's seat press the memory switch (S91/2s9) and then the desired memory button 1 (S91/2s6), 2 (S91/2s7) or 3 (S91/2s8) within three seconds. If none of the other switches in the same switch cluster is pressed simultaneously the front driver-side door control module (N69/1) transmits a CAN message to the driver-side ESA control module (N32/1). The control module checks whether the values supplied by the position measurement feature are valid. If so these values are stored in the driver-side ESA control module (N32/1).
Storing passenger seat position
To store the passenger seat position press the memory switch (S92/2s9) and then the desired memory button 1 (S92/2s6), 2 (S92/2s7) or 3 (S92/2s8) within three seconds. If one of the other switches in the same switch cluster is not actuated simultaneously, the front passenger-side door control module (N69/2) transmits a CAN message to the passenger-side ESA control module (with memory) (N32/2). The control module checks whether the values supplied by the position measurement are valid. if so these values are stored in the passenger-side ESA control module (with memory) (N32/2).
