Easy Entry Feature Stops Functioning

Note:
For Information Only

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that the easy entry feature stops functioning, check the conditions under which this occurs. If the backrest is folded forward or back while the seat is moving forwards or backwards without reaching the end position in each direction, the seat changes direction and moves in the opposite direction to the original one. This direction change can only occur "3 times" in succession and then the easy entry feature is disabled. Afterwards, the seat can be moved to the desired position with the actuation switch (S91/1, S91/2) or the easy entry feature can be restarted by unlocking the backrest again.

Note:
This is not a function error but a design feature.

As of October 1, 2004, seat adjustment control units (N32/1, N32/2) which are found to be okay but are replaced in error will have the warranty claim be debited.
