Without Memory

Model 208 as of August 1, 1999 except CODE (275b) Memory package (driver's seat, rear view mirrors)

Function prerequisite
- Seat moved to mechanical end stops once and position stored in control module (synchronized)

The pre-lockup switch-off feature for the seat longitudinal adjustment reduces the number of hard mechanical stops and thereby ensure the longest possible service life for the mechanical system. For this purpose it is necessary to move the seat against the mechanical end stop once. This causes the control module to recognize lockup and store the position reached as the end position. When the seat is then adjusted later the motor actuation is terminated shortly before reaching the mechanical stop (pre-lockup switch-off).

Erasing stored end positions
The end positions stored in the control module are erased when:
- 250 adjustment operations have been performed or
- the control module is disconnected from the power supply or
- the distance between the front and rear end position is less than approx. 90 % of the maximum adjustment path (minimum distance).

After the stored values are erased the end positions are stored again after the seat has moved against the mechanical end stops.
