Relay Box: Service and Repair



Removing And Installing Fuse And Relay Box


Illustrated On Model 208:






1 Disconnect ground lead from battery
2 Remove fuse box cover (1)
3 Unscrew screws (2)
4 Remove relay box cover (3)

NOTE: Check gasket (10) for damage

5 Unscrew screw (4)
6 Remove fuse blocks (A-E)

CAUTION: Carefully remove carriers for fuse blocks (5) upward

7 Disconnect leads from fuse box or fuse blocks

CAUTION: Disconnect leads only when replacing entire fuse and relay box. Tie disconnected leads from individual fuse boxes or blocks together and mark to prevent mix-ups.

Connect leads from fuse boxes or fuse blocks.

8 Remove relay holder carrier (7) together with relay holder (6)

NOTE: The relay holder is pivot-mounted on the relay holder carrier

9 Unclip connectors on bottom of relay holder (6)
10 Pull off all relays

NOTE: Only when changing relay holder Relay holder assignment

11 Remove paneling in footwell (driver-side)
12 Unscrew nuts (8)
13 Remove fuse and relay box (F1)

NOTE: Check gasket (9) for damage

14 Reinstall in opposite order
