Summary of Selector Lever Positions

The selector lever can be shifted into 8 different positions. Cross-shift in positions D and 4.

Selector Lever Positions
"P" Parking lock and starting position
"R" Reverse gear
"N" Neutral and starting position
(No power transmission occurs and the vehicle can be moved freely).
"D" All 5 forwards gears are available
"4" Upshift to 4th gear only
"3" Upshift to 3rd gear only
"2" Upshift to 2nd gear only
"1" Vehicle can only be driven in 1st gear

"S" Standard program
(Starting off in 1st gear for all driving situations)
"W" Winter driving program
(Starting off in 2nd gear, except in selector lever position l/starting off in 1st gear only possible using full throttle all kickdown)
