With Code 351 or 353 (Auto Pilot Systems)
CTEL antenna (A2/49a1)
The CTEL antenna (A2/49a1) is required for the navigation system only in vehicles with auto-pilot system (APS, code 351) or Audio 30 APS (code 353) in combination with dynamic guidance (code 815).
The information received on the traffic situation (Traffic Center Service (TCS) data) is transferred to the telephone receiver via the coaxial antenna cable.
GPS antenna (A2/49a2)
The integrated antenna amplifier is supplied with power via the coaxial antenna cable (phantom supply). The satellite signals received are amplified by the antenna amplifier and then also transferred to the GPS receiver via the coaxial antenna cable.
Der GPS receiver is:
- integrated into the APS navigation processor (A2/30) on vehicles with APS (code 351) or
- integrated into the radio and navigation unit (A2/56) on vehicles with Audio 30 APS (code 353).
The GPS antenna (A2/49a2) serves only for receiving GPS signals; no signals are transmitted.
