Remove/Install Oil Pump

Shown On Engine 112:

1 Remove oil pan bottom section (1)
2 Remove screws (4).
3 Turn back chain tensioner and take off chain
4 Remove oil pump (2)

CAUTION: Installation:
- Ensure oil return flow check valve (3) is correctly positioned.
- Clean strainer of oil pump (2). Fill oil pump (2) with engine oil before installing so that it pumps oil when first started.
- On engine 113.960 with code 479 an oil pump with a higher delivery is installed; pay attention to this when replacing oil pump.
- Observe notes, in order to assure a proper engine lubrication!

5 Install in the reverse order.
