Optical Alarm Function

The PSE control module (combined) (A37) controls the sequence of the optical signals via the CAN bus. The sequence differs depending on the national coding.
- ECE: lights flash for 5 minutes 2 to 3 times per second
- (USA): fog lamps and tail lamps flash for 2.5 minutes approx. once per second
The turn signal lamps are actuated by the signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) (N10/1).
On the (USA) version the taillamps are actuated
- directly on model 202 by the PSE control module (A37)
- via the CAN bus by the light module (N7-1) on models 208 and 210.

The following applies for both national versions as long as the alarm is present:
- the PSE control module (combined, A37) switches on the rear dome lamp (E15/3),
- the overhead control panel control module (N70) switches on the interior lighting.

NOTE: The alarm can be terminated by activating or deactivating the ATA. After termination by activating the ATA the ATA remains active.
