Locking/Unlocking Vehicle With Interior Switch, Function

Illustrated On Model 210 Sedan:

With the central locking interior switch (S6/1s2) the vehicle with the exception of the fuel tank flap can be locked and unlocked centrally. The anti-theft alarm (ATA) is not activated or deactivated in this case. Actuation of the interior switch is recognized by the signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) (N10/1). If the switch function is enabled the SAM sends an instruction to lock or unlock the vehicle to the pneumatic system equipment (PSE) control module (combined, A37) via the CAN bus.

The PSE control module locks or unlocks the vehicle pneumatically. The interior switch can be enabled by the central locking unlocking and locking functions via the CAN bus.

NOTE: When the remote control key is inserted into the ignition lock after locking the vehicle with the key, the vehicle is then in the same state as if it had been locked with the interior switch (CL, S6/1s2).
