Calling Up Stored Seat Position

Model 210 (except 210.081/281) as of March 1, 1997 with CODE (275a) Memory package (driver's seat, steering column, rearview mirrors.)
Model 208 with CODE (275b) Memory package (driver's seat, rearview mirrors.)

Function prerequisites
- Voltage not too high or too low and
- Circuit 15 R ON or
- Circuit 15 ON or
- Corresponding vehicle door open.

A stored seat position can be set with memory buttons 1, 2 or 3 (S92/2s6), (S92/2s7) or (S92/2s8). When the front driver-side door control module (N69/1) or front passenger-side door control module (N69/2) recognizes that one of these buttons has been pressed, it transmits a CAN message to the corresponding driver- side ESA control module (with memory) (N32/1) or passenger- side ESA control module (with memory) (N32/2). The CAN message is transmitted as long as the button is pressed and as long as the function prerequisites are fulfilled. The CAN message cannot be transmitted when another switch in the same switch cluster is pressed simultaneously. Actuation of the rearview mirror adjustment switch also leads to discontinuation of the CAN message. The corresponding driver-side ESA control module (with memory) (N32/1) or passenger-side ESA control module (with memory) (N32/2) receives the message and actuates the motors for adjusting the seat and steering column (model 210 only) until the control module notes that the stored positions have been reached with the aid of the position measurement feature. When a stored seat position is called for the drivers seat the outside rearview mirrors are also moved to the stored position.
