Preparing For Test With Quiescent Current Retention Device - II

Commercially Available Tools:

1 Connect quiescent current retention device (7) as follows:
- Connect terminal of positive cable (+) to positive pole of the battery.
- Connect terminal of negative cable (-) to splash wall ground point (W16/4).

2 Switch on quiescent current retention device (7).







3 Connect negative battery terminal (1) to the battery.
4 Connect Multimeter (2) as follows, using the electrical connection set:
- Connect measuring cable, positive (+) to negative cable (1) of the battery.
- Connect measuring cable, negative (-) to negative pole (3) of the battery.







5 Switch on Multimeter (2) (measuring range in amperes).
6 Switch off and disconnect quiescent current retention device (7).
7 Route measuring cable (6) to the right out of the engine compartment.
8 Close engine hood.
