Adjusting Seats
Model 210 (except 210.081/281) as of March 1, 1997 with CODE (275a) Memory package (driver's seat, steering column, rearview mirrors.)
Model 208 with CODE (275b) Memory package (driver's seat, rearview mirrors.)
Function prerequisites
- Voltage not too high or too low and
- Circuit 15 ON or
- Circuit 15 R ON or
- Driver's door open.
Adjusting driver's seat
To adjust the driver's seat press the driver-side power seat switch (S91/2). Actuation of the switch is read in by the front driver-side door control module (N69/1). The door control module transmits a CAN message to adjust the driver's seat in the direction selected to the driver-side ESA control module (N32/1) as long as the switch is pressed and the function prerequisites are fulfilled. The CAN message can be transmitted for maximum of 50 seconds. The driver-side ESA control module (N32/1) actuates the seat adjustment motor group accordingly.
Adjusting passenger seat
To adjust the passenger seat press the passenger-side power seat switch (S92/2). Actuation of the switch is read in by the front passenger-side door control module (N69/2). The door control module transmits a CAN message to adjust the passenger seat in the direction selected to the passenger-side ESA control module (N32/2) as long as the switch is pressed and the function prerequisites are fulfilled. The CAN message can be transmitted for maximum of 50 seconds.
The passenger-side ESA control module (N32/2) actuates the seat adjustment motor group accordingly.
When the seat is adjusted in the longitudinal direction, the position of the head restraint is changed automatically by the head restraint adjustment feature.
