Alarm Activated By Alarm Signal Siren, Function
The alarm signal siren with additional battery (H3/1) can trigger an alarm by itself. This is accomplished when the ATA is activated and
- the connection leads to the siren are disconnected or
- the vehicle battery is disconnected.
The siren sounds an acoustic alarm. (The built-in rechargeable battery allows the siren to sound an alarm even when the leads to the power supply are disconnected).
The PSE control module (combined) (A37) is switched to the alarm state by the siren and triggers the optical alarm. If the connection between the siren and PSE module is interrupted, the PSE recognizes this and still triggers the alarm.
NOTE: Once triggered the alarm can only be terminated by deactivating or reactivating the ATA.
