Tripping
Tripping
An alarm is tripped when an input on standby, e.g. trunk lid or door, is no longer present for two status checks in sequence. The signal "unlock" from the infrared remote control (IRCL) can be used to terminate an alarm when tripped and the anti-theft alarm (ATA) is deactivated.
When the switch for the front dome lamp (E15/2) is switched to the door contact position, both dome lamps (E15/2, E15/3) come on when the alarm is tripped as long as the optical alarm is present.
The alarm horn (H3) is used for the acoustic alarm.
NOTE: The anti-theft alarm (ATA) cannot be activated as long as the driver's door is open! The anti-theft alarm (ATA) cannot be activated or deactivated with the central locking interior switch (S85)!
Fog lamp circuit, (USA) only
With this anti-theft alarm (ATA) version the fog lamps are switched on when the vehicle is locked for a time, which can be programmed up to a maximum of 120 seconds with the hand-held tester (HHT).
This presumes that the lights have been switched on previously. This circuit serves for lighting up the surrounding area when leaving the vehicle, e.g. in underground parking facilities. The time the fog lamps remain switched on can be changed with the hand-held tester (HHT).
