With Front Seat Ventilation
Function prerequisite:
- Heated seat switched on (heating stage 1 or 2). One or both red LEDs in left front HS and seat ventilation switch (N25/7s1) or right front HS and seat ventilation switch (N25/7s2) indicates the heating stage selected.
Function
The front HS and seat ventilation control module (N25/7) interrupts the circuit to the heating elements in the seat when one of the switch-off conditions described below is present and simultaneously switches off the LED.
Switching-off by actuating switch
- Switch-off when heater stage 2 is switched on. The switch-off operation is actuated by pressing the top half of the switch twice.
- Switch-off when heater stage 2 is switched on. The switch-off operation is actuated by pressing the top half of the switch once.
Automatic switch-off with ignition (C. 15) OFF
- The switch-off operation is actuated by switching off the ignition, ignition/starter switch in position "0".
Automatic switch-off after expiration of maximum heating time
Function prerequisite:
- Heated seat switched on in heating stage 1. One of the two red LEDs next to the left front HS and seat ventilation switch (N25/7s1)/ right front HS and seat ventilation switch (N25/7s2) burning.
Function
After reaching the maximum heating time of approx. 30 min, the heated seat control module automatically starts the switch-off operation for the heated seat. The front HS and seat ventilation control module (N25/7) interrupts the circuit to the heating elements in the seat and simultaneously switches off the LED.
Automatic switch-off when malfunction is present
When a malfunction is present, the front HS and seat ventilation control module (N25/7) switches off the circuit to the heating elements in the seats (malfunction switch-off).
A malfunction switch-off is accomplished when:
- voltage too low
- voltage too high
- overheating
- short circuit at control module output
