Ventilation
Function
The ventilation system:
- keeps the windows from fogging up
- provides fresh air for the passengers
- helps achieve a uniform and pleasant temperature quickly in the passenger compartment.
In normal operation ventilation is supported by the blower (A32m1) when the vehicle is standing still or to increase the air flow.
Fresh air is sucked in through the air intake in the engine hood and through the fresh air flap into the heater housing. The air travels through the air ducts to the air outlets in the passenger compartment depending on the settings on the A/C push-button control module (N22).
The air passes through the ventilation slots below the rear shelf into the trunk and exits from the vehicle through the rear nozzle.
In the recirculated air mode air is sucked out of the passenger compartment through the recirculated air flap by the blower (A32m1) and blown into the heater housing.
