Beacon recognition
Function prerequisite: circuit 15 ON
The special vehicle multifunction control module (SVMCM) (N26/9) recognizes from the voltage in the control lead from the special signal system pushbutton control module (A48/1) whether the beacon is switched on. On official vehicles and unmarked vehicles (without roof light bar) the SVMCM switches on the blue light (E22/5). On emergency vehicles with roof light bar the beacon is integrated and is controlled directly by the special signal system pushbutton control module (A48/1). (See manufacturer's description). Purpose/Design
Actuating special signals via horn contact
Function prerequisites: circuit 15 ON, beacon switched on.
Actuation of the FAN switch (S4/2) is signaled to the SVMCM via the CAN bus.
As long as the switch is actuated the SVMCM connects a discrete lead to the special signal system pushbutton control module (A48/1) to ground. The special signal system completes one complete special signal cycle. If the lead is still connected to ground at the end of the cycle, the next cycle is started.
Additional flashing headlamp feature
Function prerequisite: circuit 15 ON
When the headlamp flasher/headlamp switch (S4s2) is actuated the SVMCM receives control voltage via a control lead from the light module (N7-1). The SVMCM switches the actuating power for the headlamps to the lamp control module. The following programs can be programmed with the SVMCM control module adaptation feature:
- Flashing head lamps when beacon is switched on
- Flashing head lamps when beacon is switched on only when dipped beams are OFF
- No flashing headlamps
NOTE: In each case actuation of the headlamp flasher switch has priority over the flashing headlamp feature.
