NOTE:
^ Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.
^ The vehicle must be on its wheels
1. Check and correct oil level in oil reservoir
2. Detach connecting rod or connecting linkage (7) on level controller ever (arrows)
WARNING:
^ Risk of accident due to the vehicle staring off automatically when engine is running.

3. Start engine and allow to idle.
4. Set level controller lever to position "FILL" (F)
- Only carry out the test briefly due to the high pressures
- The vehicle must rise at the rear axle.
- The delivery pressure of the pressure oil pump is limited by the pressure relief valve in the level controller.
- The opening of the pressure relief valve is audible due to whistling noises.
- If the rear end of the vehicle has NOT risen after approx. 30 seconds:
- Check pressure oil pump:
- If the delivery rate is achieved but the pressure is too low, replace rear axle level controller
- Check no oil escapes at the return line, check pressure oil pump, refer to Checking Level Control Pressure Oil Pump
5. Set level controller lever to "Empty" position (L)
6. Switch off engine
7. Attach connecting rod or connecting linkage (7) to level controller lever (arrows)
8. Replace self-locking bolts or nuts
9. Check and correct oil level in oil reservoir
