Setting Parking Position
Model 210 (except 210.081/281) as of March 1, 1997 with code(275a) Memory package(driver's seat, steering column, rearview mirrors.)
Model 208 with Code(275b) Memory package (driver's seat, rearview mirrors.)
The parking position for the outside rearview mirror on the passenger side can be set with the front passenger-side door control module (N69/2). For this purpose it is necessary for the door control module to receive the CAN message that the passenger-side outside rearview mirror has been selected on the outside rearview mirror adjustment switch. When the door control module then receives the CAN message "Transmission in reverse " for longer than 0.5 sec, the momentary position of the mirror is stored in a buffer and the mirror moved to the parking position.
The outside rearview is moved back to the buffered position when
- the vehicle speed exceeds 20 km/h or
- the rearview mirror on the passenger side is no longer selected on the outside rearview mirror selection switch or
- the transmission is shifted out of reverse gear for longer than 20 sec.
The mirror is also moved back to this position when the outside rearview mirror was moved while in the parking position.
