AR46.10-P-0300-01A Activating Steering Angle Sensor

NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.

NOTE:
^ If the battery is disconnected or the power supply to the steering angle sensor is interrupted the Adaptive Damping System (ADS) or Electronic Stability Program (ESP) control module switches to malfunction
^ The Adaptive Damping System (ADS) or ESP malfunction indicator lamp (Ale27 or A1e42) come on
^ It is necessary to reactivate the steering angle sensor to eliminate the malfunction

ACTIVATING STEERING ANGLE SENSOR
1. Start engine and allow to idle
2. Turn steering wheel from lock to lock





3. The ADS or ESP malfunction indicator lamp (Ale27 or Ale42) should go out
