PRESERVE DOOR FRAME UNDERNEATH DOOR SEAL
This revised Service Campaign bulletin 2005030005 supercedes previously issued Service Campaign bulletin 2005030005 released in April 2005. It contains updated warranty information to allow the repair of noticeable corrosion under certain conditions. Please destroy all previous Service Campaign bulletin versions.
This Service Campaign has been initiated because DCAG has determined that the door frame assembly requires the application of corrosion preservation or it may be subject to premature corrosion.
Please review the Effective Serial Number chart and if necessary repair the subject vehicles during the vehicle's next service.
Prior to performing this Service Campaign:
^ Please check VMI to insure the vehicle is involved and to determine if the vehicle has been previously repaired.
^ Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin.
Approximately 170,238 vehicles are affected.

Procedure
1. Fill bottle (Figure 1) with wax, install cap with plastic applicator tip onto top of bottle (Special tool kit: 900 589 01 72 00).

Note:
^ Only approved repair materials are to be used for corrosion repairs. Refer to Star Bulletin S-B-98.00/13I dated May 2005 for a list of approved materials.
^ If you are unable to view the WIS document on WI S-Net, please check to see that the language settings are set correctly (Priority 1: US English, Priority 2: English.)
5. Position plastic applicator tip between door frame and rubber seal (Figure 3).
6. Gently squeeze bottle (Figure 3) while moving it downwards in a flowing motion (from point A to B, Figure 2).
