Remove/Install Parking Lock Mechanism

REMOVAL
1. Remove range selector lever by unscrewing bolt (60)
2. Remove detent plate with tapered rod (35 and 34)
3. Unscrew bolt (36)
4. Remove pin (141)
- Pin is staked
5. Pull linkage (50) out of transmission housing and unhook lock pawl (139)
6. Remove circlip (52) of guide bush (51).
7. Press parking lock pawl (53) against spring (54) and press guide bush (51) out of transmission housing using a suitable tool
8. Remove circlip (56) and bearing pin (55)
9. Remove parking lock pawl (53) with spring (54)

INSTALLATION
1. Install parking lock pawl (53) and spring (54) in transmission housing and install bearing pin (55) with circlip (56)
- Check O-ring), replace if necessary
2. Press parking lock pawl (53) against spring (54) up to the stop and insert guide bush (51) in transmission housing so that the parking lock pawl snaps in the milled slot of the guide bush
- Press in guide bush until it engages.
- Check O-ring), replace if necessary
3. Install circlip (52)
4. Install linkage (50) in transmission housing and hook in the lock pawl
5. Install pin (141)
- The pin must be staked on the transmission housing side
- Check O-ring (141a), replace if necessary
6. Tighten bolt (36) to: 8 Nm
7. Install detent plate with tapered rod (35 and 34) tighten bolt to: 8 Nm
8. Mount range selector lever (33)
- A Check sealing ring (33a), replace if necessary
