Purpose
- The CTEL interface (A34/4) is an interface between the portable mobile telephone and traffic data recorder (A2/43)

Design
Interfaces and connections:
- CAN (telephone) interface to traffic data recorder (A2/43)
- Interface to portable mobile telephone
- Connection for hands-free microphone (B25)

Function
The CTEL interface (A34/4) receives the traffic message channel (TMC) data from the portable mobile telephone and relays it to the CAN (telephone) bus after corresponding conversion. Here the data is processed further by the traffic data recorder (A2/43).
