H. Final Assembly and Function Test

1. Program the telephone per S-SI-82.7O/124. StarTAC Portable Telephone Programming.

2. Verify proper CD changer, telephone, and Voice Activation System (as applicable to equipment installed) operation per the following
checklist:

CD Changer

- Disk 1-6 load and unload properly

- Magazine load and eject operate smoothly

- CD sliding door opens/closes properly

- Audio is clear and crisp

- First and last track on selected CD can be accessed

Telephone

- Handset dialing is functioning

- Head unit dialing is functioning

- Handset incoming/outgoing call audio is clear

- Hands-free incoming/outgoing audio is clear

- Automatic memory download is functioning (may be necessary to store a test number in the telephone handset for this feature to operate). After automatic download, stored numbers should be available for dialing from the head unit.

- Verify that the telephone mode is available in the 1CM

- Verify operation of the steering wheel controls

Voice Recognition

- Verify that the VRM can be controlled by the PTT lever on the column

- Verify that the spoken instructions are functioning with a high recognition rate

- Verify that the VRM can control the telephone

3. Replace the left rear trunk liner panel:

a. Work the back edge of the left rear trunk liner into the rear trim panel groove.

b. Work the left side of the rear trim panel into place, making sure that the bottom edge locks into the top edge of the amplifier bracket.

c. Work the bottom of the liner back into the plastic trim in the rear.

d. Work the top of the liner back into the plastic trim in the rear.

e. Close the tail light access panel.

f. Replace the screw and cargo net clip at the front bottom edge of the liner

g. Replace the two plastic retaining clips at the top of the liner.

5. Replace the trunk mat.
