Disconnecting, connecting engine wiring harness
Part 1:
Part 2:
Removal, installation
1 Disconnect ground cable (W10), connect.
NOTE:
- Location of battery: on right in trunk below floor covering
- Installation: After connecting, read fault memory, encode radio and normalize power windows.
- Models with stationary heater: set clock of stationary heater.
2 Remove cover of relay module (K40/7).
NOTE: Relay module at front right.
3 Unplug connectors (A3, A4) of control module (N3/10).
NOTE: Release locking arm and separate plug connections.
4 Unplug connectors (A1, A2) at relay module (K40/7).
5 Separate fuse carrier (F1-f37) from relay module.
6 Disconnect ground cable of suspension dome (W16/1).
NOTE: Unclip cable duct and run out cable.
7 Disconnect ground cable of power steering pump (W30/2).
8 Unbolt circuit 30 terminal block (X4/22) at outside of body.
NOTE: Location of terminal block: transmission tunnel outside right on underfloor. Take off cable heat shield and open protective cap.
9 Unplug central connector (X22/2) of automatic transmission.
NOTE: To do this remove the heat shield (arrow), release bayonet lock and turn through 1/4 revolution.
10 Unbolt transmission ground (W49).
NOTE: Unscrew on underfloor (propeller shaft tunnel).
11 Install in the reverse order.
12 Read fault memory and erase, if necessary
- Stored faults which can result from cables being disconnected or from simulation during removal and installation or test work, have to be processed and erased in the fault memories after completing the work.
