Ventilation Function With Rear Air Conditioning:

Function
The ventilation
- keeps the windows from fogging up
- Supplies of fresh air for vehicle passengers.
- helps to quickly achieve and maintain a uniform and pleasant temperature in the passenger compartment.

In normal operation, with the vehicle standing still or to increase the air quantity, ventilation is achieved with the support of the blower for the air conditioning (automatic) and blower for the rear air conditioning (with code 582).

Fresh air is sucked in through the air intake in the engine hood and through the fresh air flap in the A/C housing. The air passes through the air ducts to the air outlets into the passenger compartment depending on the settings on the pushbutton control module. In the recirculated air mode the blower sucks air out of the vehicle passenger compartment add conveys it in the recirculated air flap through the A/C housing.

The rear air conditioning operates exclusively with air from the vehicle passenger compartment.

The air passes through ventilation slits below the rear shelf into the trunk and from there passes out of the vehicle through the rear vents.
