Vehicle Damage Warnings

Do not perform repair work on air conditioning circuit outdoors during moist weather.

Moisture in the refrigerant circuit decreases the refrigeration capacity of the system and leads to damage to the components. Acid formation in the circuit caused by moisture decomposes the drier in the fluid reservoir and damages the entire system.

After disconnecting or screwing off refrigerant lines plug all connection openings air tight immediately with suitable plugs. (parts kit).

Always replace fluid reservoir after working on refrigerant circuit.

Store all replacement parts dry and closed. Remove plugs in new components only immediately before installing. Take particular care of the fluid reservoir with integrated drier.

When the fluid reservoir is not sealed the drier becomes saturated after a short time and is no longer usable.

Careful evacuation of the air conditioning system following repair work is a further protection measure against moisture. Evacuation produces a vacuum in the system removing any moisture which may have gotten in.
